To Lead Is To Serve, which is the national motto of the Solomon Islands, would define my candidacy for governor.

Our "world of money" has granted me much in these four decades since my first youthful ventures into numismatics, and now it is time for to me to pay back with interest the hobby that has been so much of my life.

Our Association has issues and concerns: the lawsuits that need closure, the two conventions that need support, the Museum that cries for attention, the budget that requires balance, the professional staff that needs additions, and so on. These issues, and others yet to be, are part and parcel of any national and international organization, today and tomorrow; yet, we need to look into the future.

Therefore, my vision for the ANA is this‹-the Four F's: Fun, Family, Fellowship and Fraternity. My goal is to return fun to our Association, and for our Association to radiate that fun onto our hobby. My dream is to make our hobby, and its preeminent organization, geared to creating numismatics as a family hobby. My hopes are to emphasize the greatest and richest asset of our hobby: fellowship and fraternity.

Continuing, my platform for the ANA is summed up in Four R's:

Relationships, Retention, Recognition and the Representative Program. We need to cultivate relationships with other kindred hobby organizations, here and across borders. We need to add more recognition, with specific honors for those at the grass roots. We must work on membership retention as much as recruitment, and we have to enhance our existing Representative Program, that vital link and imperative exchange between our Association and the vast grass roots.

My vision and my platform may not have all the answers. But, I do offer my confirmed dedication, willingness to listen and to learn, and my passionate enthusiasm.

Coins have been described as that ageless echo across the centuries, countries and cultures. I ask that you grant me the opportunity to add to that echo. Thank you.

Remember: Have fun with your hobby! Always serve others! Enjoy your collecting! And, create hope!
