I have loved coins since my grandmother gave me one 30 years ago. Unlike my other hobbies
that have come and gone over the years, my appreciation for coins and their history has never been greater than it is today. I am one of the luckiest
people in the world because I have been fortunate enough to turn my hobby into a career that I have enjoyed since graduating from college.
I love promoting this hobby that has done
so much for me during my lifetime. I want future generations to appreciate all the stories and rich history that our coinage can share. Just in the
last year, I have done numerous promotions for our hobby. Last November, I arranged for the exhibit of Louisiana's most valuable coin to be displayed
at the New Orleans Mint for a 3-month exhibit. Nearly 20,000 visitors had the opportunity to view the unique 1844-O proof eagle that last traded for
$1.5 million. This was one of the most successful exhibits in the history of the New Orleans Mint since it was converted to a
museum.
I also gave away 1 million Lincoln pennies
to individuals, charities, schools, scouting groups and various clubs throughout the United States to honor the Bicentennial of President Lincoln and
the new Lincoln cent. I also donated over 1,000 NGC-certified Presidential dollars to my alma mater, John Quincy Adams Middle School, so that every
student could have a coin that honored their school¹s namesake. I also have sponsored countless memberships for young numismatists to be a part
of the American Numismatic Association.
Helping others to appreciate the excitement
of coin collecting is one of the things I do best. I promise that as an ANA governor, I will bring this same enthusiasm to the table, and I will work
hard on behalf of your organization to promote this hobby and its incredible potential for the future. I will be accessible, passionate and
responsible if you give me the honor to serve in this important capacity for the next two years. I sincerely appreciate your
consideration.
