Getting into the hobby can be overwhelming. Numismatics is a rich hobby, but it also comes with a multitude of potential interests, a unique terminology and plenty of other questions. Where do you go to get these questions answered?
Fortunately, Rod Gillis is here to help. The ANA's numismatic educator will hold four sessions of Coin Collecting 101 at the National Money Show. Rod will introduce attendees to the basics of collecting and answer the questions you have about getting started in the hobby. Best of all, these sessions are free with your paid admission.
About the instructor: Rod has been a coin collector for 40 years. He teaches a professional development class for educators called Coins in the Classroom across the country. Rod teaches grading classes for the ANA and is heavily involved in finding ways to get youngsters involved in the hobby. He writes a monthly column for the ANA publication The Numismatist and has won awards for exhibiting at major coin shows.
