Karl Bennison opening banquet speaker at CCGTCC convention in June

2014 Banquet Speaker Pic Karl _BennisonThe Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club is pleased to announce that Karl Bennison, Chief of the Nevada Gaming Control Board (GCB) Enforcement Division, will be speaking at the opening banquet on Wednesday, June 18th, at 7 p.m. The opening banquet sets the tone for the 22nd convention of the world's largest club devoted solely to collecting casino memorabilia. The hobby has expanded exponentially into literally every aspect of gaming in America and in fact across the entire world. No item too small or too large that has an identifiable logo or casino name attached to it goes uncollected.

Bennison began his career with the Board in 1994 as an agent in the Reno office enforcing gaming laws and regulations and arbitrating disputes. He worked his way through the ranks, being promoted to special agent working in the Enforcement Division's Special Investigations section and then to supervisor overseeing the Reno Enforcement office. He also served for a period as a senior research specialist working directly for the Chairman and the other Governor appointed Board Members. In 2009, Bennison was promoted to Deputy Chief, overseeing the GCB's offices in Reno, Carson City and Elko until September of 2013, when he was promoted to Chief.

Karl has a B.A. in Criminal Justice and an M.B.A. from the University of Nevada. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy. He also completed the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education course, Strategic Management of Regulatory and Enforcement Agencies.

Karl served as a commissioned Army officer and helicopter pilot and also flew helicopters as a civilian, both in the U.S. and overseas.  Karl has spent more than 10 years living, working and traveling outside the U.S., primarily in Europe and the South Pacific.

The Casino Chip & Gaming Token Collectors Club, Inc. is pleased to announce its upcoming convention in Las Vegas, Nev., scheduled for June 19-21, 2014. The showroom floor is open to the public starting on Thursday, June 19th. Admission on Thursday is $15 and all day Friday and Saturday is free.
