The gift of a Morgan silver dollar from his grandmother when he was 10 years old was the beginning of a nearly 40 year numismatic journey for Brian Hendelson.He saved money from working summer jobs to attend the 1973 ANA show in Boston. Brian has been a passionate collector ever since and today is considered one of the nation’s top experts in United States coinage. Brian Hendelson is a familiar face at nearly every numismatic event in the country.

Board of Governors adopts new budgeting guidelines

The American Numismatic Association Board of Governors adopted new budgeting guidelines that include the use of up to 3 percent of the ANA’s investment principal to fund yearly operations. The new budgeting guidelines were approved by a unanimous 7-0 vote during a teleconference meeting held Tuesday, April 14, 2015.

Austin Sheheen Appointed ANA Treasurer

Austin M. Sheheen Jr. of Camden, S.C. has been appointed treasurer of the AmericanNumismatic Association, President Barry Stuppler has announced. An ANA member since1958, he replaces Adna G. Wilde Jr., who passed away in November.
