how to tell a bad counterfeit
It should be pretty obvious if you have one of these, they have distorted fields and may have punched in devices. this particular fake has a wrong date wrong denomination and wrong devices. This one is obvious, like many other counterfeits this one has many things wrong about it so if you are buying a coin be sure to take a closer look.

Weigh it. . They go after morgans peace and pandas i have a few of each. Never got one. In 27 years. I studied and read and weighted the piece. Bullion is there targert. They probally have next years eagle already to go!! So keep your eyes sharrp get the b weight from the book and weigh it . Its very hardto get it matched up with different metaks. Thanks

1865 ! That is hilarious. Some people collect fakes that are legal to own. Where did you see this quarter? Some people can photo shop anything these days. Sure its not a fake of a fake ??
