It’s a wrap…almost
Good Evening folks!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted due to a couple of reasons. Procrastination is definitely one of my problems since I’ve aged. I used to say “it’s a Southern thing”….lol. Another reason I haven’t posted is having to become reacquainted with the iOS (Apple Software). I had to learn it in college because that’s what they used. Needless to say, I haven’t used it since then (2010). My better half deemed this change necessary (see the picture below). Anyway, I’ve just updated my Peace dollar collection on this website. As I stated last Jan., one of my goals is to complete my Peace dollar collection by this coming January 1st, which I’m on track to do. The only one I’m missing is the 2021 version which I will obtain before Jan. I also hope to add a Redfield hoard Peace dollar as soon as my budget allows, which is part of the trifecta of the Binion, GSA, and Redfield coins.
Yesterday I received the 1934-D which is a DDO Vam 3, with a small D mint mark and a mintage of 1,569,500. I also received a 1935-P, About Uncirculated with a mintage of 1,576,000 and a 1935-S, XF, with a mintage of 1,964,000. All of these coins are 38.1 mm in diameter and are composed of .900 silver and .100 copper, have a reeded edge, and weigh 26.73 grams. See the pictures with this post. I will soon have these specimens in slabs and incorporated into my collection.
I’ve already started thinking about some goals for 2022. I’ve already started researching inventory software and am considering using Apple’s “Numbers” to create my own inventory spreadsheet. I may breakdown and spend the money for the commercial software, I’m just not sure yet. At any rate, enjoy the pictures, stay safe, HEALHY, and coronavirus free until the next time. By the way, I’m thinking about talking about nickels in my next post. Talk to everyone soon!

Great to hear you back again. And soft wear is tricky, I know!

Nice work on those Peace dollars. The hoarder that I am prevents me from singling out the VAM's. Although I'm sure I have at least one.

I forgot to say that your micro D looks like some tape or something was covering part of your coin. The toning looks different. Could just be the lighting. It sure is a micro, micro D ain't it? Beautiful coins. My favorites. Fellow VAM guy!

Nice looking coins. I feel for you trying to relearn Apple. I do have an old Apple 2C. Funny. If you are a subscriber Coinworld has a fairly nice inventory for free. Good luck. I back everything up to paper. Thanks Charlie.

That's the way to do it. They look great. The new Peace dollar everyone is getting tomorow. They say it's a continuation of your current set. Hope you picked one up. If not there is always the secondary market. The prices will drop. I wish you luck in your hunt! Just wait it out.

Yes, I’m definitely going to be patient for sure buddy. Ya know, the more I think about it, I may continue to use “pen/pencil and paper” to continue my inventory. I have a trusted friend who uses that method…. ;-).
