Cashless Society
So it seems that the powers in Europe & USA are willing to consider removal of the largest currency notes in circulation - Supposedly, this would reduce or eliminate criminal activity - What would you all see as the benefits or problems with a cashless society? - I personally do not see how it could really function - For 1 thing, how would politicians get paid off ? - Please let me know your thoughts
Thank you for your consideration

With all the work about a cashless society I would start buying all the coins I can afford! Think about it be the guy on your block to actually own money! I tell one of my friends I'll be eating steak and you will be eating bread! Take care mike

The federal reserve is talking about authorizing a trillion dollar coin to pay down debt. If they can talk about that why in the world would they be concerned about the 100 dollar bill? As long as there are politicians there will be cash in society!

We're in a somewhat cashless society now. Just think you can go into a deli and buy a sandwich with your phone. Most coin's are paid with credit cards. It goes on and on. I haven't written a check in two year's. So it won't be long. But in my heart people like money! The hundred won't go they put to much into it to do away with it. They can't even get rid of Penny's. Don't worry about it.mike

hey mike, - it does seem like we are moving away from cash in many ways - i do always ask people to keep using cash especially at small, local businesses - though canada managed to say good bye to their penny - i think the system here hold onto its small change because, it would be like admitting defeat if they did away with the penny & nickel
