This site is not for points. Points mean nothing. Unless you learn how to write a proper blog. Which will take a while. You as a kid will take courses and write proper blogs.. One liners will not help you.I have over 100.000 points. So you no what I got?. Nothing. You get nothing. But Sam gives out Yns dollars based on your blogs. And courses you take. So stop with the one line blogs. Sam will not give you anything for them.. Please check out some blogs. Real ones. Go to community. Click on it . Go to blogs and forums click on that you will we all the blogs written this month. Go down to see more and you will start to see real blogs. Write like that you will get the yns money otherwise you will get nothing. You will have no money and won't be able to be in the monthly auctions. So just getting points gets you Zero Nothing . Please ask another kid they will help explain it to you. Forget about long a for now please. People. Will no answer one line comments. What you write are not blogs. I'm trying to help you able get you help. Stuck with the other kids . They know how to help you!

Hi Ben. I am learning new numismatics knowledge every time I check into the site. Amazing what is out there in the numismatic world. Coins and medals I have never seen. Very interesting topics discussed all the time on this site.

If I had joined back then like you, I can only imagine where I would be in my knowledge and collection! I would have been more focused on what I collect and learned much more about my coins. I'm looking forward to reading your blogs and learning from you!

I suggest every one but Bama read some of the current sites to see what the ANA is about. It's about learning. We have young kids and older ones. One collector has been a member for over 50 years. I have been collecting 27. We learn. . That's right after years we still learn. We do research on the coins we collect. We write blogs to share what we have learned. Welcome to the ANA. . Yes we all collect coins. I collect what I like. We don't copy and paste or copy from books. That will get you a quick exit. There is allot to learn. I'm still learning. Anyone who thinks they know everything i say try stamps. So welcome I hope you like it here make current friends. Everyone will help you. !!!

Oh great, well sounds like you can teach me a lot! I've been collecting for 55 years but I've only been seriously collecting for maybe 20 years and approaching collecting as an academic discipline for a year or so. I collect any coin, but have a very nice European collection with coins as early as the early 1800s and I have a nice U.S and Canadian collection. I recently have gotten interested in capped bust half dollars. I joined the ANA a year ago mainly for the diploma program and glad I did. I'm in Virginia, and am from here. I went to the University of Alabama for graduate school and stayed for a few years after. Tuscaloosa is nice!

My daughter went to Alabama for her undergraduate degree, and my wife and I visited her on numerous occasions when she lived in Tuscaloosa. We live in Starkville, MS, which is a little over an hour away. To the question "Do you like to collect coins?" I must b/c I've been at it for more than 65 years! And an ANA member since 1971.
