Garfield Heights Coin Club Update
Garfield Heights Coin Club
Although the GHCC has not been able to hold a regular monthly meeting since February of 2020, we have managed to maintain contact with our membership through the publication of a weekly email blog and through attendance at the recently-established Cleveland Coin Expo Coin shows. The Club has been given a free table at these shows, which are held at St. Michaels Woodside in Broadview Hts., Ohio, and we have taken full advantage of our presence there. We have established a monthly 15-coin Silent Auction that has quickly become a mainstay of the show. In addition, the Club uses the Show to sell discounted coin books, supplies and coins. We usually have some giveaways for the kids as well. We have signed on 4 new members over the last few months.
Planning has already begun for the big regional Expo 3-day show on August 19-21st. We will have a table for that show and there is a special club competition that weekend. We are planning for that now as well. Each club has been asked to put together a numismatic-themed display that spells out CLEVELAND. A prize will be awarded to the most creative and best-executed exhibit.
Thanks for all the nice Comments. Much appreciated. More to come.
