Missouri Coin Show starts today

Coin Shows | Mal_ANA_YN

The annual MNS coin show starts today, but because of Covid-19 my grandparents cannot take me. I do not want them to get sick. I miss searching for coins for my collection. I hope a vaccine is found soon for all concerned.

Yep, I got a flyer from them advertising their show in like late June. I cant believe that they still hosted this with everything going on. Oh how I miss coin shows. No coin shows, my LCS is still appointment only, and it all makes me long for the good old days of 2019.

I hear the show was packed with dealer tables but the patronage was lighter than normal. To be expected I guess. Will have to wait and see about the other local coins and how this affects them. Thanks for the reply.

Really? It is amazing it is still going on. Well hang in there. There will be tons of shows when this is over. Great Grandparents you have.. Thanks.

Yes, they did hold the show. I heard all 180 tables were full with great stuff. I heard most dealers considered the show a huge success and one dealer sold over 1 million dollars worth. Maybe the person just tried to hard to kid me about missing the show. Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately older folks are much more vulnerable to Covid so I am sad for you but glad your Grandparents are doing the right thing and looking out for your health and their health. I am like MIKE B really surprised they are even able to have a show.

Safety first is what I am told and I know they are doing what they think is best but missing the show is an awful feeling. Thanks for the reply.

I'm really sorry you can't go... St. Charles! Wow! My parents used to live there. My father was an executive at Wetterau Bakeries there. Visited there a couple of times. Very nice area!

The MNS show at St. Charles is always such a great event. So many dealers with so much knowledge and collecting opportunities. Thanks for the reply.

Sorry you going to miss the show. But safety first, you have plenty of coin shows to attend in the future. Save up some cash for the next one you attend. Our local club has a show scheduled for September, but I am worried it might not happen. Might be a good idea for our local coin show to be cancelled. Not sure attendance would be as good as last year. We will see what happens. Your grandparents must be fantastic !

Yes, safety first, but still hard to sit and miss out. Feedback about the MNS show attendance was light, but overall the dealers that attended say they had really great buying and selling. Thanks for the reply.

I'm surprised your even having it. Many lives can be in danger of its not done right. Some states are opening up and they can't find room to treat them. Here in N.Y. Were open and we did it right. We respected each other and wore mask. Still were them. Every store says no mask no entry. I don't know how they can do it.

I cannot imagine how such a large city can manage this virus with so many people so close. Thanks for the response.

That's a pretty large coin show. Too bad, but I think this good for all of us collectors. We may miss it, but now we know not to take these things for granted anymore. You can take this extra time to sit down and read on the coins you need.

MNS holds the biggest show in my area. Just dont know how much you will miss something until something like this virus.
