Hello fellow collectors,
Some of us had that fortunate find. I had that chance when I was about 12 years old. I was trout fishing with my father and mother; it was the first day of trout season. I'm about 2 hours into fishing that day and not catching anything that day. I finally had it and put my fishing rod down and called it quits. So being the little explorer I am, I decide for some unknown reasons to pick up rocks along the creek, looking for small critters under the rocks. I remember picking up this rock along the creek and to my surprise under the rock was a 1946 Washington quarter. Why it was under a rock, I have no idea. Although not worth much today, back then it was a big deal finding a quarter under the rock. I remember my father explaining to me it was a silver quarter. I'm now 40 years old and I still have that quarter to this day. Although the quarter is not worth much, to me it was a priceless find and to me it was a fortunate find at that time.
