Just a quick visual for a Kennedy admirer. Or anyone else interested to know of their existence. Very rare! 2013 Ireland coin set, issued by the Bank of Ireland (the Irish Mint).

And today, 160 years ago, Edward Ruffin fired the first shot at Fort Sumter. Went to Savannah with my parents last week. We saw Fort Pulaski, the birthplace of rifled artillery. Thanks LB.

Ok LongBeard, If you find them for a good price, buy 2 and have them charged to Mokie's credit card... :-)) ! Great looking set and I do have a "little" wiggle room on my credit card! Thanks for posting! Charlie aka slybluenote

Stumbled upon it looking for pre-decimal coinage.

Cool! What's the mintage?

Long Beard

A maximum of 99,999 based on the white rectangle located at the bottom left of the booklet shown in the image. But I would say less 15,000-20000 due to the high cost of gold and silver in 2013. The set would have been higher than market, as they always are. This one's set #5712.

Of both coins?

I too remember that visit. Very nice. Thanks..

I heard about it. It was made after his visit. He went back to trace his family. He also cut back on the amount of Irish coming to the U.S. I was very upset. But I understand today why. That's all that counts. I would love to get the set. . Now that I have seen it. Thanks I will start looking.

Thanks!! I love Kennedy, and have never heard of these coins. But of course they are beautiful, they were minted in the most beautiful country on earth! (: Thanks once more for sharing. See you on the next blog! -NM
