This is one of four blogs to make up for the missing blogs. 

The first coins struck in the thirteen colonies were "NE" type silver coins. They were not very detailed. In fact, they only said NE.

Wonderful, historical coins. That display at MET sounds good. Didn't know abt it.

there is a display in the MET (metropolitan museum of art- NY city) that includes many early colonial coins including the NE shillings

Well I would get a red book. It has all the American coins in it and tells you anything you like so you can give some people more info. Thank you. Mike
