Last night The U.S. Mint released new designs for the 35th anniversary of the American silver eagle. My thoughts about this design are mixed , I don't really like it because the feathers on the eagle seem like to much detail to fit on a small coin.  I do like the flying eagle because I think the numismatic community as a whole will like this , the last reason I think this is a good design is that on the right wing of the eagle it goes out of frame on the coin which I really like because I don't know any other coin like that.
