a coin design

Exonumia | walking liberty

So since the US mint has released a first amendment coin I decided to make and design a 2nd amendment coin!   I hope that you guys like it. It took a week to make and draw. Also does anyone know a good place to get your coins made so if i do get permission from the mint instead of just a sketch there is also a pattern. Someone under $100 though because i am low on money right now. Have a good week WL

I just read the state's with no gun laws have the most deaths by guns . Interesting!!

When I lived in England, a country known for its draconian anti-gun laws, they had constant shootings and the number of crimes committed with knives and clubs were astounding. Bad folks will find a way to hurt and kill others, regardless of the laws.

Been around weapons my entire life, had a concealed carry permit since I was 21, almost 40 years ago, people are dangerous, not weapons. Bama has a point about the self defense aspect, nice start!

I like the idea but with some refining. Interesting...

I'd like to see it with the rifles crossed. I like your design though. Wish they had made it.

If you want this made. You will need funds. The Highland mint in Florida makes all sorts of sports coins and private medals. I think you need to order a certain amount. You can't make one. I still disagree with this. . I hate guns we all know the second amendment'. But your promoting violence instead of peace. If we didnt have a longstanding military then OK. But we have an army. We do not need untrained people.with guns. I'm sure the N.R.A. Has medals. Peace. One death is to many

It looks great! But I think you should do something different than just guns, something more peaceful. Later!

You caught one side of it but didn't capture the peace through self defense. You need some olive branches in the field for peace and some oak laurels as well to represent strenghth

that is a good idea

Yeah. It isn't all about shooting. The original point of the 2nd amendment was to give people a way to defend themselves, not go around on the streets of Philly and shoot people with muskets for fun. Fodder

I like that idea!

The mint had considered this very theme yet passed the Life, Liberty Pursuit of Happiness Program instead. I don't believe it was forgotten, however, passage would be extremely challenging at the moment.

I like it. Great start. If you can't make it into a coin, many medalers may do it for you.

I like it. Very good start ! Every local coin club has medals made for coin shows, anniversaries, etc. Contact a coin club and see who makes those medals for them. You could possibly get some made? Haven't seen a blog on your own coin or medal. Great idea.
