How does one create a thread

Go to the forums page, find the category that you want your forum on, click on "view forum" on the purple bar, then when it opens the forum page, click on "new thread", and create! Good luck!

I agree it should be just polite and informative a little humor couldn't hurt. If necessary just boo or hiss at the screen, remember you if are in just your jockey shorts while you are home alone? no one will know!>!?!
