What Do You Think Of The Price Of The Silver Proof Set?

This year will cost collector's  more than ever before. The Silver set is priced at 105.00. For that you get two silver quarters compared to five. A silver half a dime . Four silver coins. Now were trying to get more people into the hobby. So you think this will hurt along with the prices coming up on other items.

That is crazy. Just 4 silver coins? They used to be so much cheaper. I don't buy proof sets, but I understand that there are people who do who don't appreciate the ever growing prices for US mint products

Thanks for the comment. Those of us who have books need these coins. The Kennedy with proofs and silver proofs goes for a nice price.. Your getting g less than an ounce of silver!!. The mint is shooting themselves in the foot!

The price of everything is going up. Energy costs, food costs, coins. They keep printing worthless money. That drives up the cost of everything.

This will look good, but when the new collectors realizing they are getting ripped-off on everything they are touching (everything in the Catalogue) they will look at the US Mint in disgust. If you really want to learn about the hobby, go the the ANA first.

Get the word out to flood the mint's email with complaints. If enough of us do then, and only then, will a change occur. If not, this will be the first time in over 35 years that I don't buy a set from them. I just emailed them, here's the link. usmint-support@usmcatalog.com

I have tried that. They don't send the mint police after you. If they did I would be doing life. In wish they would. It can't hurt.!!
