I have attended the last three years, first year one week, next two both weeks. The best learning takes place outside of the classroom in my opinion by just listening at the tables during meals or the "Lunar Lounge." No one has their teaching mode in gear and the conversations get better and better. I recommend the Summer Seminars to everyone.

Do not waste a minute thinking about it, send off your letter of application as soon as you can to all the organizations that offer a scholarship to the summer seminars - The content of the summer seminar is fulfilling both inside and out of the classroom.

I'm probably about half way done filling out the application, and I still need one more reference... ugh.

Who is your ANA representative in your area, does he/she know you. Also consider your Club ANA representative. Dealer that is a ANA member also a good start locally. Also do you know a participant from the summer seminar to give you a leg up.

Another thing we do at the summer Seminars that we did during both sessions of the 2014 sessions was to go off campus for a meal on the town, we went between the end of day session and before the beginning of the Young Numismatists auction. If you ever want an entertaining event participate in the YN Auction. There are a lot of interesting items up for grabs along with some really funny stunts. Even "Tiny" is worth watching!

After last night's meeting of the GHCC it looks like we are going to have 8 people attending either first, second or both weeks of the summer seminars this year (2015)

Ian and I were talking and we both expressed the same question about the depositing of payments for Summer Seminars neither of us got a transaction notice until much later I posted mine to the ANA on February 16th and Ian before me and we just got notices of the payments recieved. I wonder if that process can be speeded up a bit or byte.
