Whats up with 75th Anniversary WWII TPG?

Mike first brought this to my attention, so I had to go do some looking myself.  First point; Most 75th Anniversary Proof ASEs for sale on various sites are not Third Party Graded.  TPG coins are few and far between.  Second point;  There seems to be as many PF69s are there are PF70s.  I am new to this but is this normal?  Third point;  The asking prices are going down.  Pre-Sale coins (Really? selling something you don't even have yet) had price tags well above $600.00 for both coins.  Now they seem to be mostly asking between $200.00 to $400.00 for either coin.  Still too much for an ungraded proof coin.  I had to laugh, site after site was trying to get way too much money for these coins and still charging $6.00 to $10.00 for shipping.  You mean in addition to overcharging me for this coin, you expect me to eat the shipping as well?  Any folks out there can help explain to me what is actually going on here?  I am just confused.

Capitalism at its (dubious) finest! Don't get me wrong, I'm died to the wool capitalist. But people! Keep your powder dry and wait to see what happens. I had being chauffeured to the cleaners. Give it to me straight doc, I can take it! I'm sorry son, it's coin fever, more contagious than Covid.   Lol!

My friend. A 69 is a great coin for.me. Or anyone. Something is wrong with this coin. As I write this there still falling. What in all hleck did the mint t do to this coin. I would like to know.. It has to be something. Sellers on ebay try and make the best possible price for there item.. Not this time.I have seen 300.00 or make.an offer.  I guess we will get another letter from Ryder asking for forgiveness for those of you who got threw congratulations a 69 is nothing to be ashamed of its a good grade.. It's not what's on the label. But the coin

Will be interesting what the prices will be a year from now once the grading is over. A 69 is fine with me if the cost for a 70 is double the cost of a 69. With limited numbers of 75K. The 2019-S enhanced reverse has prices around 1800 for pf70 and 1k for proof69 grade. I would rather but two PF69 then 1 PR70. The presale ones are intriguing.

While interesting, the mint made a mistake producing this coin.  Just as Bama said, its capitalism at its finest.  I would certainly love to own this coin, but I would never pay the ridiculous premiums upwards of $400 it is currently commanding.

A national dealer offered me $400 before the 75th anniversary ASE went up for sale and $6,000 for the gold coin. Naturally, I tried for the gold. Sometimes even collectors are not exempt from falling into the trap of excessive capitalism. In the end, I didn't get either coin, and I quickly got over it.

Here's how it is.. the people are saying the younger generation is our future then turn around and raise taxes and prices on stuff so then manufacturers raise THEIR prices because they need to make a profit all the while authority figures (like kate brown) make ridiculous laws for the "future" to follow. All the while drinking their $20 small black coffee.
