Can't Post An Image To My Collections

I haven't had any trouble until this last week. I get this error whenever I try to upload a new image of a coin:

Unable to use file. It may be too large.

I've tried manipulating the size of the image and the error still comes up. Help!

I have had the same problem....I simply keep on reducing the picture size until it can up load. I have no idea  what the maximum image size, for uploading is.  It would be nice if the "file too large warning included a statement filex must be no more than X MP

The file size I use is the same one I use for my web site (www.Moneta-Coins.com). We tend to produce huge file sizes from our cameras or scanners, way too big for the internet. A rough guide for a large photo that still loads fine into the ANA content: for two sides shown in one photo make it about 800 - 900 pixels across, half that for one side. It's important to reduce pixel density to 72 dpi (dots per inch), that's all a web page can render and will really reduce file size from the original. From mega pixels to a file size of 100 - 150 kb is what makes the web happy. Looks great and downloads quickly. The French medal shown is 100 kb.

Still can't post images to my blog or a collection or anything. Still getting the error: Unable to use file. It may be too large. It doesn't matter if I shrink it down to a really tiny image. I still get the same error. :( I was hoping to be able to blog about the National Money Show. Help!

Allow me to suggest - only because I have no end of problems myself:

1. What is your browser?  Is it the new Microsoft Edge, or Chrome, or Firefox, or something else?  You might try a different browser.

2. What format are the pictures in? PNG, JPEG, BMP, and TIFF have different "native" file sizes.  Sometimes, if you use one of those online widgets, the file looks reduced, but it still contains information in the first bytes saying that it is much larger.

3. Instead of beating on the Blog, try creating your message as a Forum post.  Myself, I have seen it go both ways: Forum posts that failed, I could create as Blogs; Blogs that failed could be re-entered as Forum items.  This happens to me often.

4.  Can you get text in the Blog? If you can create a Blog entry with just text, can you then go back a few minutes later and Edit it and Add Image + to the post?

Thank you for the tips! I'll try out your suggestions.
