Arizona

I pulled this coin from change a while ago. It struck me because it has a picture of the state Arizona engraved on the obverse right above the date between Lincolns face and the rim. In middle of the picture the states initials, AZ, appear. It doesn't look like someone just scratched it in because the lines and letters are perfectly straight.

Anyone know What, Who, Why,or When?

(For some reason  the pictures aren't  downloading onto the blog post correctly. When I click add image and chose the picture from the file, it says something like: Unable to use the file, it may be too large. Any help on this, too, would be helpful.)

What I do when I want to post a picture is to take a picture of it with my iPod.  I then send it to myself via email.  Then I go to the computer, log onto my email, and download the file.  I then click "Add Image" and then select that picture.  Not sure if it helps, but I hope it does.  As for the Arizona, I have no idea.  I do know that people stamp pictures in to coins, but not for Arizona.  I have a Lincoln cent that has a picture of Kennedy stamped in.

As Kellen is elaborating to is that pictures taken by most phones these days (5-15MB cameras) are a high quality image that is stored on the phone. When the phone is connected to a pc the files get transferred in the high quality.

When you want to "Share" an image via the phone the image is usually sent to the recipient as a lower grade, web-quality, image is which is a much lower quality image but is still very viable for viewing.

I haven't attempted to determine the max image size for the forum images but I would imagine that it is around 1-2MB which is actually quite large for web-based images.

You best bet is to either share the image with your own email (send it to yourself) or open the image in a photo editing app/software and resize the image down to 1-2MB in size.

I hope this helps. Once we can see your coin we can help you out better!
