Why are so few people here including photos with their blogs? Maybe it's just me but there seems to be a large lack of instructive photos around. I, personally, feel that photographs add a huge amount to blogs. Even "book reviews/reports" can show a photo of the book.

Yes! I totally agree with you, I try to leave photos on my blogs. Maybe a lot of people get the error message when trying to put a photo on? This message pops up when the picture is to big.

That's very true JudeA. You need to get it, the photo file, to the size that the web site likes. I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to do all my photo work. It's old but works great and is easy. Call the ANA for help. They are very nice.

I personally have no way to take pictures and upload them. My computer has no camera, and I have no camera or phone. It does definitely add something to the blog. The times I do take pictures it takes about 40 minutes to find a friend to take a picture and upload it, so there is just more of a hassle than it is worth for me.

I'm not talking about people that do not have a camera. If you don't have the means to take a photo, of course you can't put one up on your blog.

Of course, folks without a camera or camera phone can use a stock picture to illustrate what their blogging about. As long as you acknowledge that the coin depicted is a stock photo, that is still acceptable and will add to the blog's message.
For example, if I just obtained an 1882 CC GSA packaged Morgan but could not take an actual picture, you could certainly do this:
"Picture sourced from Amazon.com but looks exactly like my 82 CC GSA Morgan"

Also, if one buys a coin from a site, like EBAY, there is certainly nothing wrong with scraping the sellers picture and posting that as it is the actual coin you now own.

Ummm I am trying to figure out how to make a profile picture. I will get there. My first plan hasn’t worked though, sitting in a corner crying and asking God “Whhhyyyyyy?”. I am on step 2 now, Plausible Deniability. It is Plausible right now, to me, that I never have to have a photo for my User ID.

You can find examples off of the internet. For my roll searching blogs, I include a picture of rolls of cents, just a picture I found off of the internet.
