TOP MEMBER RECRUITERS RECOGNIZED
Expanding its membership base always is a goal of the American
Numismatic Association (ANA). With this in mind, each year the Association
tallies its new members and their sponsors, and honors the top recruiters
in two categories-- dealer and individual members.
At the ANA's 112th Anniversary Convention in Baltimore, July 30
August 3, this year's most successful recruiters were recognized for
their efforts.
The Dealer Booster Award went to Joel D. Rettew of Laguna Hills,
California, who recruited 52 new members last year.
This year's Albert L. Baber Award for Membership Recruitment was
presented to Dorothy Baber of San Diego, California, who brought in 38 new
members.
ANA Century Awards were presented to Barber; Gloria Swiatek of
Manhasset, New York; and Nancy and John Wilson of Ocala, Florida. Each
has recruited 100 members since 1991.
The Wilsons also received the Top Board Recruiter Award for
the most new members recruited by a member of the ANA Board of Governors in
the last Fiscal Year, April 1, 2002, to March 30, 2003.
