ANA Board makes Fall National Money Show appointments
The Texas Numismatic Association and the Dallas Coin Club were appointed as host clubs for the 2012 Dallas National Money Show by
the American Numismatic Association Board of Governors in a unanimous
vote during a Feb. 21 teleconference meeting. The show will be held Oct.
18-20 at the Dallas Convention Center.
“It
was necessary to conduct a brief open session to take care of a few
housekeeping measures to keep association business moving forward,” ANA
President Tom Hallenbeck said. “Naming the host chairman, host clubs and
honorary clubs will allow the ANA staff and these clubs to begin
working together on what will be a fantastic fall show.”
During this brief meeting to approve appointments, ANA member Tony Hales, of Richardson, Texas, was named the local host chairman for the fall show.
The
Fort Worth Coin Club, Northeast Tarrant Coin Club, Collin County Coin
Club, Mid Cities Coin Club, Richardson Coin Club and Numismatics
International were named as honorary host clubs for the show in a
unanimous vote.
In
a motion by Gov. Clifford Mishler, which was seconded by Vice President
Walter Ostromecki, Richard Horst was named as an Association Assistant
Treasurer and approved as a signer on the Association’s bank account.
The motion passed 8-0, with Gov. Greg Lyon absent, as he had to leave
the meeting prior to this vote.
The
American Numismatic Association is a congressionally chartered
