The Lower Cape Fear Coin Club in Wilmington, NC, announces a new location for their annual Azalea Festival Coin Show on Saturday, April 11and Sunday April 12, 2015.  Our Coin Show will return to the Elk’s Lodge at 5102 Oleander Drive.

Thirty-five tables with coin dealers from the Eastern United States will offer to buy, sell or trade gold and silver coins and currency.  A numismatic supply dealer will also have coin albums, books, holders and supplies for sale.  Exhibits of Confederate and Federal currency related to the commemoration of the end of the Civil War 150 years ago will be on display.   Our ‘Ribbon Cutting’ will feature a Confederate and Union re-enactor who will help the Azalea Belles open our Coin Show.

A special treat again this year will be a gold mine exhibit where you’ll be able to pan for your own gold.  They will also have some large gold nuggets found in North Carolina on exhibit.

Another addition will be a Kids Korner where kids can earn numismatic prizes by answering questions or playing games.  ALL kids will win something.

Our next regular meeting will be on Wednesday, February 11 at Carolina BBQ, 1602 South College Road beginning at 6 pm.  Our program will be about ‘How To Exhibit Your Coins’.  Guests are welcome.  Come early to eat and converse.
