ANA BOARD APPROVES ELECTRONIC VOTING FOR 2013 ELECTIONMEMBERS MAY OPT-IN TO RECEIVE ELECTRONIC BALLOTS
The ANA Board of Governors voted to allow both paper and electronic voting for the 2013 ANA election during a special session held Jan. 11 in Orlando, Fla.
The motion passed 7-2, with Governor Clifford Mishler and Vice President Walter Ostromecki opposed.
The firm Survey and Ballot Systems will conduct the election. ANA members must opt-in to receive an electronic ballot; otherwise they will be mailed a traditional paper ballot. Members should login to the Members Only section of www.Money.org and select ANA Election Ballots to opt-in for the electronic ballot or to verify their mailing address for the paper ballot.
The board announced the presidential appointment of Hollie Wieland, of Colorado law firm Karp Neu Hanlon, P.C., as ANA general counsel. The motion was voted on during executive session.
Governors Scott Rottinghaus and Michael Ellis made a motion to accept Wednesday through Sunday as the official show days of the World’s Fair of MoneySM. After discussion, President Thomas Hallenbeck tabled the motion, which will be taken up during the New Orleans National Money Show board meeting.
The board voted unanimously to approve a Personnel Committee recommendation to conduct a performance review of Executive Director Jeff Shevlin.
