ANA congratulates Blue Ridge Numismatic Association, celebrating 40th anniversary

The American Numismatic Association (ANA) is pleased to recognize the Blue Ridge Numismatic Association (BRNA) on 40 years of service to the numismatic hobby.

“The Blue Ridge organization, with member clubs throughout the southeast, is a great asset to the hobby and the ANA,” says ANA Executive Director Edward C. Rochette. “We’re pleased to join with them in their celebration and their show in Dalton, Georgia, the weekend before the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Atlanta (August 8-12).

The BRNA convention at the Northwest Georgia Convention Center in Dalton will feature a number of great programs for young and experienced collectors, including member-club meetings and young numismatist “carnival” games with prizes. BRNA will have a display of Southern Territorial gold coins and an exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution. However, the BRNA is foregoing competitive exhibits at this year’s convention, instead is asking its exhibitors to prepare displays for the ANA show the following week.

To assist dealers and collectors who plan to attend both conventions, the BRNA is keeping its Security Room open through Monday, August 6, when the ANA Security Room opens in Atlanta.

For more information about the Blue Ridge Numismatic Association convention, contact David Cieniewicz, P.O. Box 3310-A, Huntsville, AL 35810; fax 256/859-1280; E-mail prez@brna.org.
