ANA SUMMER SEMINAR FIELDS A LINEUP OF ALL-STAR INSTRUCTORS
The American Numismatic Association will present an innovative new course, “Light from Many Lamps: All-Star Numismatic Symposium,” during this year’s Summer Seminar. The course will be available during both sessions, June 22-28 and June 29-July 5.
The course will feature 16 presenters each session. Presenters will discuss topics in their areas of expertise, bringing variety and diversity to the course.
Kenneth E. Bressett developed the idea for this course. “This new format allowed having speakers who had not been used before, and (it allows us) to add new and interesting topics,” said Bressett, who will be a Session 1 lecturer.

ANA Money Museum Curator Douglas Mudd will be a featured presenter during session one. Mudd, a Summer Seminar instructor since 2002, noted the format is a throwback to how the courses functioned in the 1960s, where students would be in one class with a variety of topics.
“It’s going to be an opportunity to talk about something I am knowledgeable about and interested in,” Mudd said. “My topic, Parthia: The Forgotten Empire, is an area I have collected for years. I think it’s always fun to get others interested in an area you are passionate about.”
