Chris Cipoletti to Discuss ANA Mission at Denver World’s Fair of Money
ANA Executive Director Christopher Cipoletti will hold a forum to discuss the Association’s mission, goals and objectives at the World’s Fair of Money® on Friday, August 18, at 6 p.m. in room 704 of the Colorado Convention Center, 700 14th Street.
Since January of 2006, Cipoletti has communicated with the membership on a grassroots level during a series of presentations at coin shows and conventions throughout the country. During his presentations, Cipoletti outlines major ANA goals and objectives, discusses outreach and educational programs, and provides a status report on a variety of activities ranging from setting hobby standards to the annual Summer Seminar.
Each presentation includes a 20-30 minute address by Cipoletti followed by a question-andanswer session. Cipoletti said one of the ANA’s great strengths, compared with other hobby organizations, is its accessibility. For a strong organization, he said, we need members to both contribute to and support their association’s mission and long-term objectives.
“The ANA belongs to its members. These open sessions provide a forum for members to learn more about the benefits of their association and our plans for the future. It is also a great opportunity for me to receive input and to listen to the concerns of our grassroots membership,” Cipoletti said.
The 115th annual World’s Fair of Money® brings together people of all ages who share an interest in coins, paper money, tokens and medals, art, history and related areas. The fourday educational event features a dealer bourse with more than 1100 numismatic venders ready to buy, sell, appraise or trade; a Mint Promenade featuring mints from 20 nations; a Club Midway with coin club representatives from throughout the U.S.; an educational exhibit area, multi-million-dollar auction and hourly educational presentations, seminars and meetings. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
