Clubs Recognized for Outstanding Publications
The American Numismatic Association announced the winners of its Outstanding Club Publications Contest during the ANA Representative Program Breakfast, Aug. 19, at the World’s Fair of Money in Denver.
Each year, the ANA recognizes outstanding journals and newsletters produced by member numismatic organizations. Entries in this year¹s Outstanding Club Publications Contest were judged in four categories: local, regional, specialty and electronic.
Local Club Publication Awards
- First – The Cincinnati Numismatist, Cincinnati Numismatic Association, editor: Katie Heinrich
- Second – MCCA Newsletter, Metropolitan Coin Club of Atlanta, editor: David Crenshaw
- Third – Augusta Coin Club Monthly Newsletter, Augusta Coin Club, editor: Arno Safran
Regional Club Publication Awards
- First – The California Numismatist, joint publication of the California State Numismatic Association and the Numismatic Association of Southern California, editor: Greg Burns
- Second – The Centinel, Central States Numismatic Association, editor: Roland W. Finner
- Third – GNA Journal, Georgia Numismatic Association, editor: David Crenshaw
Specialty Club Publication Awards
- First – Paper Money, Society of Paper Money Collectors, editor: Fred Reed
