2019-W Quarters

Coins-United States | Adam L Spikes

I was just curious if any of my fellow collectors in the Houston area or even in Texas have had any luck finding any of the 2019-W quarters. I've actually gone through a couple $500 boxes with my two young daughters in search of even one but to no avail.

I don't live in Texas, but I have found 2 so far and I have only searched like $100 face value in quarters. Both came from the same $20 hunt. I am surprised that you haven't found one in one of those boxes. Just keep searching!

You can find them in Texas, although I am not in Texas, I know of two youtubers that live there and they have found lots! Their channel names are RobFindsTreasure (He Really does! He has found a 1909-s VDB!) and Robinhoodcoins. Check out their channels!

UPDATE: I was going through the change in my dad's huge Lance cookie jar (that was once my grandmother's) and lo and behold I found a 2019-W Lowell NHP Quarter in the mix. It was the first I'd found or seen in person other than those on eBay and the like. But my dad is in the small town of Marshall, Texas up in East Texas so the quarters are moving about. I just hope his collection of change manages a SA Missions version before it's over with. Thanks for all the comments guys.

I'm hoping to find one, but I haven't got one yet

Some banks have stopped exchanging for quarters. They know about it and the line are long from sellers.

My wife found two in charge here in N.Y. Two more were released. The longer there out there the worst the condition. A T.V. Host his company bought four hundred thousand in quarters found none. I have no idea were they are. The public don't know about it so they just use them. The first Lowell is still being sold on ebay. Some American Memorials and a very few War in the Pacific. They should be showing up but I to I don't what to think. Lots of luck. I refuse to buy these quarters . The prices are crazy besides there free. Lots of luck everyone.

I have not gone through any rolls and I have only seen two of the Lowell Quarters so far this year, but both were Philadelphia mint. Jeff Garrett wrote an article where he opined that 80% of the quarters will disappear into jars of folks that have no idea about W quarters and only 20% will initially be found by collectors. That 80% will trickle into the economy over years and years, so keep checking your change always. BTW, the wife of one of our bloggers has found two Lowell W Quarters while getting change for Laundry machines.

None found in rolls that I purchased at the bank. The only one I have came along with the 2019 proof set from the mint. I am located in Castroville, Texas, 17 miles west of San Antonio on US Hwy 90.
