ANA convention badges and medals are a great, albeit challenging, collecting theme. My cover photo is a good example. Only twelve members attended the 1915 convention in San Francisco. Seventeen badges can be counted in the convention photo if I remember correctly. The convention badge used the gold-plated official medal from the Panama Pacific International Exposition. The ANA museum has an intact badge. I am not aware of any others, so I created an image using a looped medal from my collection. One can pretend it came from an actual badge.

Very nice. I have quite a few ANA medals from shows. Nothing this old. Mostly 1956 and up. Really fun to collect.

I have a number of the 2 & 3 medal sets starting in 1963 running through 1980 and a few others. I also have the Buffalo convention medal from 1947 which is nice since I belong to the host club. Neat little collectibles! I just found a little bronze medal from the 1921 Boston convention. Is there a comprehensive list of these somewhere?

My collection has an original 1915 badge as well as the 1908. Complete set thru 2018 (when I get the new issue)

I bought a convention medal from 1973. The front of the medal shows the Boston tea party. I am really impressed with the quality and the workmanship. I plan on buying more in the future.

Now that is using some good old fashioned numismatic initiative. Kind of like buying a not perfect coin to admire until one can afford or find a better one. Well done!

I can see owing a couple of those. I've actually saw one from 1946 on eBay I picked it up. Thanks for the pictures.

It would be great if someone would produce a booklet showing all the ANA convention badges with the designer's name, quantity known and variety, if any, listed. I know The Numismatist has articles on past badges but I'd like to see them all in one publication with their numbering system included. Heck, throw in the medals too!
