My Trip to the Smithsonian National Coin Collection!

Coins | CoinCollector7777

Hi everyone, I just went to the Smithsonian National Coin Collection! I saw some really cool coins (and bills), including the one and only 1849 double eagle, the 1933 double eagle, and three 1804 silver dollars! Oh, and also one of the five 1913 liberty nickels (very cool)! I would recommend going there. Now, for the pictures! The first one is me beside the safe door that locks the exhibit (face reveal!). The second one is the 1849 double eagle (pretty scratched up). The third one is the 1933 double eagle. The fourth, fifth, and sixth are the three 1804 silver dollars. The seventh is the side of a Saint-Gaudens double eagle (really thick)! The eighth is a 1913 liberty nickel. Oh, and a bonus, YNs get 100 YN dollars for visiting this very exciting coin exhibit! Anyways, thanks for reading, and see ya!

The Smithsonian

Coins | CoinCollector7777

Hi everyone, I know I haven't been active lately, but I'm working on a paper, and I can't visit the site often. (Plus my mom blocked it, so yeah) Anyways, in a few months, I'm going to visit the Smithsonian! It is where the 1849 double eagle (one of a kind) is. Also, there are a bunch of other expensive coins there and I'm really excited! Also, I get a lot of YN dollars for going there, and when I get the YN $'s, I'll bid for a Morgan dollar, because Morgan dollars are awesome! Maybe I'll bid on a Peace dollar. Or if there is any silver dollar, I'll bid on it. Anyways, thanks for reading!

My Trade Dollar!

Coins | CoinCollector7777

Hi everyone! I posted two pics under this blog of my Trade dollar I got a few weeks ago! I didn't get the pictures until now, so I am immediately posting this blog. The grade is very fine (VF), and it is slightly toned. I got it for $150 at the coin store. In the 2022 Red Book, it says it's worth $225. I was trying to get a Trade dollar for $180. The Trade dollar I got was their only Trade dollar, so I guess I can say I got their most valuable Trade dollar they had! Anyways, I hope you like it!

A few months ago, I thought that rank 250 was impressive! Sorry for the short blog, by the way. When I get the pictures, I'll post a blog about the Trade dollar I got!

1,000,000 Dollar Face Value Coin

Coins | CoinCollector7777

One day ago, someone showed me a picture of a massive coin made of gold. I looked at it and the on the coin said "1,000,000" for one million dollars! It's an Australian coin made of pure gold. It weighs one ton. And it is worth $50,000,000! The person who showed it to me said "if I get that then I'll just go to BestBuy and say 'one BestBuy, please!'" Anyways, if you want to see a picture of the coin, just scroll down.

Little or no FG

Coins | CoinCollector7777

Yesterday I found a 1969 cent, and I looked at the reverse and I could not find any FG. Then when I looked at it with a microscope, I could barely see any FG and I think I found some doubling. Maybe it was the way the light shone on the coin, but I looked at it from the other side and it didn't look like it was doubled. I hope I found an error, because it will be my first error I found in circulation! Anyways, back to the FG, I have some pictures to show you guys to see if you think it is valuable. I looked in my error coin book and there weren't any errors on the plain 1969 cent, so I need someone to tell me if this is an error. I'm not that good with errors unless they're obvious.

Christmas Story

Coins | CoinCollector7777

Hi everyone! Here is a Christmas story from last year. So, there was this gift wrapped in wrapping paper. Yep. That's the story. Just kidding. So, anyway, I shook this gift to try to guess what it was. It felt like coins. And it was coins! And two silver certificates. Don't worry, the coins weren't that valuable, but they were silver. And there were some wheat cents that I needed for my folder. But they all were in like G condition. My brother got the same! Anyways, I had a great Christmas. I hope I get more coins!
