**A Heck of a Way to get a Coin that I've Wanted**...
Hi Everyone,
As you may or may have not noticed I haven't put up a blog in awhile. Something that I really enjoy doing. Well, a couple of weeks ago I was at work and fell off a pallet in the backroom. I took a major header and broke my right foot. I've been in the insurance wasteland being this happened at work and I am still waiting to see an Orthopedic Doctor. But enough of all that health stuff... As a get well and to pick up my spirits gift my husband bought me a coin that I have been admiring for awhile. It's a 1 oz. Silver 2016 Great Britain 2PND Britannia with Lion. Early Release PF69 Ultra Cameo. Graded by NGC. The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth ll. This may sound silly but I relate to this coins design, being a strong woman as well, with "my Lion", a huge hairy Golden Retriever by my side. Together we can face anything! Even Workmans Compensation.... Hope you enjoy this blog!

Very cool coin, Kepi, but tough break - ouch! I too was once injured on the job many years ago, so I wish you all the best in your convalescence. I wish I hadn't seen this post - I'm getting weird ideas about jumping off something, just to see what kind of coins my wife might get me if I were hurt bad enough. Nah, as nice as that'd be and I know she'd want to help, it's never worth it, and of course, who knows exactly what she might get me! I'm sure you'd trade that coin if you could for not having a broken foot. Get better and take it easy - and try to take advantage of the situation to do some "housekeeping" on your collection. -Sam Gelberd, ANA Numismatic Educator.

Coins featuring Britannia are among my favorites. I plan on launching a series of posts that start with Britannia and end with Lady Liberty soon. I hope you will enjoy them and that you get well soon! In fact the series will start with a seated Britannia complete with lion!

Great looking coin. Every time i see a coin with Queen Elizabeth on it I wonder how much longer they will be striking them. Her Majesty celebrated her 91st birthday recently, and many wonder just how many years she last left. When she does pass, it will certainly seem strange seeing King Charles on coinage. But until then, God save the Queen.

"King Charles III" . . . wow, that's so strange to even think about!!! (That is, of course, assuming that he *uses* that name -- he may choose a different one...) The late Queen Mother made it past 100, so we *could* very well see Her Majesty's regal face on 2027 coinage! WOW!
