**Silver and Dogs**

Coins-World | Kepi

**SILVER and DOGS**...      Man's best friend and a hunk of that silver stuff!    What's more American than that?    haha      It's my 2018 Australian Mint "Year of the Dog" 2 oz. Silver Perth Lunar Coin!   Wow! That's a mouthful!   This beautiful coin portrays Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse along with the date, face value, silver weight and purity. The designer is Ian Rank-Broadley.   The reverse shows a German Shepard with puppy lying in the grass with Chinese peony flowers in the background.  The design also has the Chinese  character for dog, the inscription "Year of the Dog" and The Perth Mint's traditional "P" mintmark.   This Sovereign coin is backed by the Australian government.     The birth years for people born in the Lunar Year of the Dog include 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006 and 2018.  Those fortunate enough to be born in these years ( LIKE ME)  are said to be loyal, amiable, kind and friendly.   ; )          Thanks for looking at my blog!  Any comments would be great!

**$20.00 for $20.00**

Coins-World | Kepi

I wanted to share this cool little coin with you!  It's from the Royal Canadian Mint who has a great program called $20.00 for $20.00.  The one I really liked is this 2013 Canadian Wolf.   Struck in 99.99% fine silver with a worldwide mintage of 250,000. It has a serrated edge, weight of 7.96 g. and diameter of 27 mm. The obverse was designed by Susanna Blunt and features Queen Elizabeth II.  The reverse shows a frontal view of a wolf running through the barren wilderness. The designer is Glen Loates.  The face value is $20.00...and the cost of this coin is $20.00.   Pretty cool huh!!!  So next time you have an extra $20 bucks, think about these cool little coins!  Thanks for looking at my blog. I look forward to your comments.
