Office Closure

Dear Valued Customer,
Late today, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Orange County, California issued an emergency order declaring nonessential businesses that operate within the county to close, effective immediately, through March 31, 2020.
As such, Collectors Universe and its Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) divisions are temporarily ceasing operations.
Non-local business units, such as PCGS Hong Kong, PCGS Shanghai, PSA New Jersey and PSA Tokyo, will remain open. Certified Coin Exchange (CCE) and Long Beach Expo operations will also remain operational.
Customers are asked to not ship submissions to our California office until operations are reopened. If you have an inbound shipment to Collectors Universe, it will be received and securely stored at our facility.
The situation is fluid and we'll continue to keep our customers updated regarding the availability of our services.
We know this is a period of great uncertainty and we remain committed to providing world class services as soon as possible.

They are closed again. MARCH 20, 2020 UPDATE Pursuant to Executive Order N-33-20, issued on March 19, 2020 by the Governor of California, Collectors Universe’s Orange County office has closed until it is deemed safe to resume operations. As a result, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) have temporarily ceased operations, effective immediately. It is evident to all that we are in uncharted territory. For now, the larger public good mandates this closure. We will share our reopen date once it is established by the state of California. I just commentied. . Just today I decided that 24 tokens 228years old all high grade I thank NGC but they have a group of graders who will do your coins. It took a long time and many auctions to put this together and allot of auction tickets. I know there is a special group that handles these. Thanks for your kind offer a one week turn around. A break in pricing. I don't care about that. One and a guarantee that I want the Token group do mine and take there time.I just read this. It's ok for bullion but these times I researched long for them. Thanks i will wait. Good luck

I think they did the right thing. Grading coins can wait for a while until we see how the next two weeks play out. Stay safe everyone.

Absolutely. I only wish they had done so without waiting for a state ordered mandate. I am fully aware that people need jobs as a means of livelihood, but at what point is money worth more than your health and in this case life? Everyone has at one point had a loss of income, the highs and lows life. This pandemic is no different. It will pass. How we come out on the other side is dependent upon common sense and remaining calm.
