The ANA has volunteers working in alot of states. If I was you I would contact them find out who represents your state contact them and ask for some ideas. It can't hurt. And you might get lucky!

Best of luck to you! Not in NY, but from experience the toughest part about starting a new club is finding a good meeting location. Preferably one that cost nothing for the club to use! And thanks for the link to the guide user_7180, looks like a helpful resource.

I am not in your area, but good luck with starting a new club. It takes lots of preparation and over-sight. The Metropolitan Coin Club of Atlanta has published a terrific guide "A Guide for Organizing, Operating and Growing a Successful Coin Club". The contact information in the guide is: Metropolitan Coin Club of Atlanta P.O. Box 76090 Atlanta, GA 30358-1090 I believe you can also read/download it from their website.
