I have been collecting cents for years. You would be surprised to see how the field looks on some of these coins. Some have no scratches at all. I call them my MS circulated set. Look at some of the quarters they look so good. But I'm impressed with how well some of these coins have held up. Thanks for your blog you brought up some good points.

I collected Lincoln cents out of circulation when I was young. Always nice. Oldest I found was a well-worn 1910. No 1909, no 1922 coins either.

I started with Lincoln Cents and found many hours of enjoyment looking for them in rolls that I got from the bank, today the collection is long gone but the memories persist. Today I enjoy the small size one $ as a collection mainly because I got a 1928-C in change a long time ago and have not looked back since.
