Struck in Philadelphia, a great silver Kennedy half dollar. A different hair which became an issue later thus being redesigned as per the late President's widow and family, making a new depiction of the President's likeness in the 1965's coin version and then further on.
90% silver composed, a coin like this one shown here is a keeper for most collectors everywhere. The fascinación with our late President Kennedy's years goes beyond his demise. 1964 was the first year this half dollar was issued this relación the Franklin half dollar version which was struck until 1963.

Im being nice . I apologized in the other blog I was wrong. I kept searching and found the truth. They were keeping within the law.. They just never told anyone. Research is a big key in this hobby.

Again you took my comment down. The Kennedy half was made in 1965 with a 1964 date also dimes were done. This was to use the silver they had. I was wrong and my friend I apologize I will be. Calling the US. Department of the Treasury. To let them know there giving out wrong information. Its to bad we don't know which ones. They would be worth allot. Again I was wrong but I kept at it. They didn't want people to know.

The accented hair was on the 1964 coin only . When Mrs. Kennedy saw it they stopped it right away!Please give me the bibliography on how many coins were made in 1965 with the 1964 date. This is new I would like to now more of. Thank you I contacted the United States Treasury Department they said there are no records on this statement. . I believe Littenton will hear from them!

Thanks for your insight and remarks on this subject. Indeed, the 1964 Kennedys struck in 1965 was a comment I read in littletons.com, also in cointrackers and in coinbook.com... There is such comment without numerical quantity expressed. Hope you do find the precise number, if I do, I'd most certainly share it with you.*** Moreover, loved your detail about this item, it has been quite an ordeal as you know the aftermath of what was media named "Camelot'. Again if the quantity info comes thru I will bring it over. Thanks.
