1969 British 10 New Pence Coin
Originally introduced in 1968 to replace the British Florin or 2 Shilling coin, this nice large type coin is equivalent to 10/100th of a £ Pound.
Having the portrait of a younger Queen Elizabeth II wearing the British and Irish girls Tiara and facing left it is one of the most beautiful coins in England. Another feature is the depiction of the Lion Crest image crowned as it is part of the Royal House Coat of Arms.
This nice item was minted in 1969 prior to the decimalization project of British coinage as originated in 1971.
In my own words.
