AC's Secrets #34

1976 $2 FRN
S/N: C 00604271*
PMG Graded: 66 Gem Uncirculated

Historically known, two dollars notes have been printed and in circulation since 1862. Collectors everywhere find them attractive, and some find the ones with starred serial number even more appreciated and perhaps valued when it comes to exchange activities.

This beUtiful note makes a difference in the year it was printed, 1976, the bicentennial year of our Nation. The Declaration of Independence as shown artistically mastered on the bill's reverse took precedence on this note's issue date. The Federal Reserve Bank in Philadelphia managed then not only and intrinsically valued note but also an archival jewel for future generations.
In my own words.

Two-dollar bills are so neat to see people's reactions when you try to spend them.

Indeed, sometimes they seem to stop and somehow check them.

That's a beautiful note, I have many two dollar bills because I started keeping them when my son was born(1995), but none in superb shape to be graded. You did make me think, out of about $$$ I wonder how many have star notes? I guess tonight I will just go through some to get my eyes back focused from the loupe off the coins. Thanks again for the nice and educational blog.

I am pleased I've opened a curiosity path for you. Wish you the best and thanks for your kind words.
