Numismatics is all around us if we look

While driving down a rural road in West Virginia, route  612 west, I passed the long closed New River Company Oakwood Store.   I wonder what stories this abandoned building could tell us about the coal mining scrip that was used there?  A shortcut to the interstate turned out to be the highlight of my day.

Virginia Numismatic Association 63rd Annual Coin Show

The VNA coin show at the Fredericksburg Expo & Convention Center was packed Saturday morning.  What a great show that missed last year due to Covid restraints.  The show runs through Sunday.  Thank you VNA and all your dealers and volunteers.
