The weekly blog was posted not a few hours earlier, however this absolute stunner could not wait to be shared so I'll keep it short. Those who have been following me know that the Australian Wedge-tailed Eagle series (2014- ) from the Perth Mint are the crowning jewel of my ever expanding hoard.  This is the 2022 release in a true ultra high relief not seen in years, if at all, and truly life-like. I found one, graded in an NGC PF70 (the only grade I'm buying of the entire series) but way over priced.  So now I'm back up to 8 for completion of every issue, including 2022, in uncirculated, proof and high relief proof finishes which may be viewed on my collections page. To be clear, this is a completely new way of doing a high relief by the master himself, John Mercanti.

As usual the weekend seems to have blown by. Not wishing to miss out on a weekly blog, and short of time, a topic arose which is rarely discussed. Perhaps even forgotten as it involves something equally rare in doing. None the less, it came from reading the many blogs, in particular those dealing with coin roll, Coin Star or general coin finds in change.                So Enjoy!

Over the years there have been many rumors pertaining to the striking of coinage which turned out to be just that. These rumors have steadily increased over the past twenty nearly pacing the advancement of technologies. Rumors such as an end of the U.S. One Cent and nickel or the elimination of physical coinage to a cashless digital financial world.  While these have and will be debated for as many years to come, some with solid merit, the current reality suggest otherwise following historical fact and records.  Or so for the foreseeable future.  And this is the subject for the week.        Enjoy!
