Robert M. Hawes of South Daytona, Fl, recieved the Best-In-Show Exhibit Award and the People’s Choice Award for his display titled “A Numismatic Trip Through History” at the American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) National Money Show 2000 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl, March 3-5.

In recognition of his efforts, Hawes recieved a 5-ounce, 14kt gold medal produced and donated by the Franklin Mint for his Best-In-Show award and a certificate. For the People’s Choice Award, Hawes recieved $100.

The first runner-up award was presented to Mark Rabinowitz of Melbourne Beach, Fl. for his exhibit, “Naval and Maritime Continental Currency Signers.”

Radford Stearns of Lilburn, Ga. received the second runner-up award for his exhibit “Researching the Sestroretsk.” Rabinowitz and Stearns each recieved a certificate. 

The first ANA presented its National Coin Week Exhibit Award to Clayton O. Grant of Ft. Pierce, Fl. for his exhibit, “Commemorative State Quarters, Year One in Ten.” Grant recieved a plaque. 

The awards were presented at a special ceremony on Saturday, March 4.
