Former ANA President Stuppler Receives Exemplary Service Award

Former American Numismatic Association President Barry Stuppler received the ANA Exemplary Service Award in recognition of services on behalf of the Association that are “above and beyond” the call of duty. The award was presented today at the ANA World’s Fair of Money in Chicago.

A professional coin dealer for 50 years, Stuppler is a life member who has served as ANA President from 2007-2009 as well as Vice President (2005-2007) and Governor (2001-2005). He has taught at the ANA Summer Seminar since 2007 and received the Association’s Century Club Award for recruiting new members in 2004.

Stuppler, a well-known advocate for collectors and investors, is chairman of the Gold and Silver Political Action Committee, president of the California Coin and Bullion Merchants Association, and a board member of the Professional Numismatists Guild and the Industry Council for Tangible Assets, the latter of which he co-founded.

He owns Barry Stuppler and Company, Inc. and Mint State Gold, and has been instrumental in building many multimillion-dollar collections and Registry Sets.
