Let's share ideas: What do you do at coin club meetings?

The ANA Education Team has come up with 12 monthly quizzes that will soon be available for download (I have the page under construction right now, but it should be done soon). These are designed to be downloaded, printed and distributed at ANA club meetings.

So, now that we (almost) have a page for club activities and presentations, what are some things you've tried in your club that has been a success? How do you get members engaged and involved?

My coin club is mainly for (but not limited to) YN's. We have done presentation days, and taken a field trip to a local coin store. My club is pretty new, so we have not had a ton of experience.

That I am waiting to see if any of the 60 plus years of tip-toeing through the world of numismatics has soaked in and can be called to mind. I never miss a Jeopardy Answer when they touch on money!

After spending two cups of coffee and the better part of this morning reading the quizzes (all 12) I find that my sphere of kowledge is in a different orbit than that of the quiz areas. It takes a broader experience then mine to cruise through those questions. Kudos for opening a new set of vistas!

The year-end banquet at the Greater Houston Coin Club a few awards are given, This year a new award was inaugurated for the what the club membershp by voting on the programs for quality and meeting a numismatic criteria. The award is given in the name of Barney Loebe a charter member (1955) that passed away this past year.  John Barber was the receiver of the award.
