An Outrage from the Mint

I read the mint is going to release a REVERSE PROOF version of their 2018 Innovations Dollar in August.  I think the cost is 8.95 or thereabouts.  The height of Folly I say.  Not only are you making a reverse proof that nobody wants, but you're making it of a coin that is dated last year.  Come on Mint, are you Daft!!!!!

They never learn. It's not popular to begin with. Most collected the first coin. And the second coin they will collect is there state. That seems to be the trend. Thanks that's nine dollars I can save..

An Edsel is still an Edsel even after you put different hubcaps on it.....

Okay, I'll bite by chiming in. I like them and have them all thus far, including both proof sets. The two things I wish they'd have done, not to include as mentioned- market them better,  work on the designs and drop the edge lettering. Other than that, I'm okay with a new program.

I have no objection to the Innovation Dollar per se.  My contention is the Mint is going down a bad faith road when it takes a previous year coin, retains the date, and sells it as a new variety 8 months into the following year.   Having said all that, I do not plan on collecting any of them.

If you can believe this I have sent more emails to the mint than blogs and coins I own. That's 26 years of collecting. I personally think that organized crime bureau should look into them. Simply because they never publicly respond to there major screw ups. What's wrong with coming out and saying you know we screwed up. What's wrong with honesty.. Why do we need the freedom of information act to find out were coins are. I see red flags every were..It's was I used to say  I can't wait to see this year's line up! No more. On behalf of collectors thank you. And to be fair thanks for the nice coins that collectors like
