Hi guys! I was wondering, what is a BIE error on a Lincoln Cent? I have heard about them many times but still don't know what they are, help is appreciated, thanks!1 year ago
BIE Error? Whats that?
Its a Lincoln cent error. Its a die break in the word Liberty. That term is only used with Lincoln cent errors1 year ago
Ok, thanks!1 year ago
is it on any specific years?1 year ago
Here is a helpful idea.... Why don't you look it up and write up a blog about it? That way you will get practice doing numismatic research and learn about it, and you can teach it to all of us..... That's a win for you and us.
I didn't know what it was; I looked it up
I have heard of this error as well a few times but I never learned what it is. I'll try to do some research on it and get back to you if I find anything1 year ago
The technical definition is a die break between the B and E in LIBERTY creating the appearance of an I. Hence, BIE, which as Bama pointed out only occurs on Lincoln Cents.1 year ago
