I enjoy watching "Pawn Stars," especially when someone walks in with a old or rare coin. Store owner Rick Harrison seems to have a bit of numismatic knowledge concerning ancients and does what most pawn store owners would never do in a million years: which is bring in his friend from NGC to have a look at it and offer a fair price. This is always educational, and hopefully has led more than a few viewers to pick up a coin book and start collecting. "American Pickers" on the other hand, has yet to uncover anything substanial when it comes to numismatics. I've never seen a coin, token, medal, or piece of paper ever featured on the show. Funny how some guys can save a barn full of rusty automobiles, motorcycles, and gas station signs, yet never come across a mason jar full of grandma's spare change. Might want to bring along a metal detector next time....6 years ago

Well worn Copper
I haven't really watched the show a ton, but I do know that they have some numismatic material. I support them for it.6 years ago
